Linkwheel – Linus Rylander

This is a great concept refreshed. Linus Rylander’s Link Wheel brings out a fresh look at interlinking structures and how to rank and destroy rankings in the search engines. Much like Michael Cambell’s Revenge of the Mini-Net back in the day, early 2000′s, the concept is much the same, but refreshed with web 2.0 properties as the focus.   Links continue to be the driving force in ranking in the search engines.  In my opinion, there is no such thing as a bad incoming link, and how you structure your external as well as internal links (and their anchor text) have the greatest effect on your rankings and how your site does.    It always goes back to the basics…  Simple, solid on page optimization (keywords in your title tag, url if possible,  body text, h1, etc.), then these keywords as the anchor text in external linking structures as outlined in these two books, and you are 99% ahead of everyone else.  As always and with everything, results – good ones at that – take a bit amount of minor planning, execution, and patience.  These two PDF’s are a great place to start as far as figuring out your linking strategies.  Do these, and then pursue the shotgun approach, and gradually build them up, the more the merrier….
